# What you'll need:

→ Filling

01 - 3.5 oz fresh spinach, chopped
02 - 4.5 oz cream cheese, softened
03 - 2.1 oz shredded cheddar cheese
04 - 1 garlic clove, minced
05 - 1/4 tsp salt
06 - 1/8 tsp black pepper

→ Pastry

07 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (approximately 8.8 oz)
08 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

→ Decoration

09 - 24 small fresh basil leaves

# Method:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Wilt the spinach in a pan over medium heat for 1 minute, then squeeze out excess moisture and allow to cool slightly.
03 - Combine the wilted spinach, cream cheese, shredded cheddar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until fully incorporated.
04 - Unroll the thawed puff pastry and cut into 24 equal squares, each approximately 2 x 2 inches.
05 - Place one heaping teaspoon of filling in the center of each pastry square.
06 - Fold the corners of each square toward the center, pinching to seal and create a four-leaf clover shape.
07 - Brush the tops of the formed pastries with beaten egg to ensure a golden finish.
08 - Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
09 - Remove from oven and immediately place a fresh basil leaf on top of each bite to resemble a clover.
10 - Allow to cool slightly before serving to enhance flavors and texture.
